The World Justice Project (WJP) is pleased to announce the twelve winners of the Roderick B. Mathews Opportunity Fund (http://worldjusticeproject.org/opportunity-fund-competition) ^® competition. The competition is designed to identify and incubate practical programs that strengthen the rule of law, and provide seed-grants to individuals, organizations, or networks with the best actionable ideas.

This year, for the first time, the competition was expanded globally and conducted online. Applicants from 67 countries proposed solutions to address critical issues, and used data from the WJP’s Rule of Law Index (http://worldjusticeproject.org/rule-of-law-index/) ^® to identify areas where the rule of law was weak and could be improved.
